I need some information on this pistol. It is a .38 caliber Colt revolver but has no serial number anywhere on it. I contacted Colt, but they told me that they had never made any without a serial number. It looks like a scaled down Peacemaker. I'm curious if this is a prototype or something. Any information would be great. ![]() ![]() ![]() Never mistake motion for action.

It is more than likely a pistol that was made in either Mexico or Belgium. They "copied" many Colt revolvers and even marked them with all the stamps that came on a factory Colt. The barrel may be an original from a Colt Lightning as the font looks very much like the original Colt stamping. As for value, IMO, it is nothing but an interesting paper weight.

Thanks. I am inclined to agree. However, who among us has not dreamed of finding that 'diamond in the rough'? Never hurts to ask. Besides, that idea of striking it rich totally evaporated several years ago when a college buddy won the state lottery. The odds were bad before but what were the odds of 2 people who knew each other winning.I know the odds were the same but somehow....... Never mistake motion for action.
