How does one go about researching old Rodda rifles. Are there any records left from the 1900-1920 era? How could you go about researching the records?

If you own a gun and you are not a member of the NRA and other pro 2nd amendment organizations then YOU are part of the problem.

Try this site and check out their historical pages. You could also post on their historical questions forum with the serial number of a particular rifle. The Manager, Flashman, is the direct descendant of the Rodda owners and he is always happy to help with this kind of request.

BTW the Rodda company still exists under Indian ownership in India and though they have a license to manufacture guns, they no longer make any. Several attempts to get them to offer the company's records (they have them from the earliest days to the present) to the Birmingham Proof House have failed because they are very bad at responding to any mail.

Best wishes and do post pictures of your gun here if you can.
