I agree, for that money snap it up. You can find servicable sights from Brownells, among others. - Dan

I just found a very clean 90% condition Remington model 30 express bolt action rifle chambered in 30-06 Sprg. It seems to be all original and wears a Bear Cub fixed power scope and Stith Mounts. According to The Remington history web site it was made between 1929 and 1940. A friend of mine believes that the receiver is based on an Enfield. Unfortunately, this is all the information that I have. Can anyone tell me more about the history of this rifle or direct me to a forum or web site?

If you do a search on this site you will find a lot of info on the Enfield 14/17's and the Rem 30's and 720's, which are all basically the same rifle. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it's at a reasonable price, because I really like them. - dan
