Got a question for the collectors. I know someone who has an antique remington 12ga autoloader. He thinks it is around 100 years old. It has a 5 round tubular magazine under the barrel and my be a license from a Colt design. Known history goes back to at least 1920, probably earlier. Any thoughts or ideas on what it might be would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Most likely it's a Model 11. Tell me does it look just like a Browning auto 5? If so then that is what you have.

Does the reciever have a square back, very pronounced. These guns are not rare at all and can usually be picked up very reasonably on the used market. Nothing wrong with them, they are great guns.
