Help!! I just bought an old Browning A-5. The problem is the previous owner smoked like a chimney and the gun now smells like an ash tray. How can I clean the gun to get the smoke smell out? The metal I'm not worried about, but how can I get the smell out of the wood without damaging it?

If it was mine i would rub it down with the gun cleaning oil called clp.or birch wood casys cleaning rust preventive oil packett.Both have a strong oder to me that should knock out just about anything.Also w-d 40 smells like crazy......?Maybe this will help... thumb
