While I don't normally like to vent on forums, I feel it necessary to warn other bidders of unethical practices.

In the Oct 3 auction I place an early absentee bid on a Zeiss riflescope. Though I had a prior bid for the winning amount, the auctioneer awarded the scope to a bidder present on the floor.

This indicates to me that they are merely using absentee bidders as "shills" to raise local bids.
