Hey eveyone,

I just bought a Colt Python in MINT condition and I am wondering the value of it and also if it is Nickle or stainless. How do I tell what the finish is? The Ser # starts with K70XX with a 4" barrel. Any info would be helpful.

Thanks KSTEVENS AND RAMMW I have inspected the thing well. Believe it or not... I had to get a good magnifying glass to see any turn marks on the cylinder and they are so faint they can not be seen without the glass... I paid 600 but no box and no tag... so I think I did ok...

Thanks for the dates of manufacture. I had Python serial number 487 - was my favorite handgun until I had to get rid of it due to costly divorce. I wonder where it is now?
