When I was young, I hand built 2 mauser actions out of 4140. This was between the years of 1981 and 1984. While I was deployed to Germany my wife divorced me and the rifles disappeared (I later found out she sold them at a "yard sale" of my belongings). They would have shown up in central Iowa, probably Des Moines or surrounding communities. The rifles are marked "kruppstahl-01" and "kruppstahl-02" with the initials "JH" on the underside of the receivers. If anyone has seen these, I would at least like to have pictures of them again if I cannot afford to buy them back.
