I have just received two 22 cal target rifles and would like to know the value of them. One is a winchester model 52 with heavy barrel and target peep sights and the other is a Valmet(Finland) with heavy barrel and target peep sights. Any help would be appreciated.

the winchester has a strong following in america for sure...value is a function of condition, and or options that are on the gun...I get my best idea of a guns value by looking in the GUNLIST...that is what people are ACTUALLY selling them for. it is a cross section of america though , and local markets do have an influence on value....I never heard of the other .22, but have heard of valmet.. they made shotguns, semi auto centerfires( ugly) and combination rifle -shotguns, and usually were pricey compare to their competition in the market....good luck....bob

according to the twenty first edition of gun values there are several model 52's,you would have to describe the rifle in better detail.but the model 52 target is worth $495 in 100% condition and$600 with speedlock,there are 10 or more rifles that carry the model 52 number,the older models are worth alot more,for example a model 52 B BULL GUN is worth $800 in 100% condition.as far as the other rifle there is no listing for a 22 cal that I can find,pick yourself up a copy of blue book of gun values its worth every penny,hope this helps
