I'm heading to southwest Georgia this week and need suggestions for gunshops (or gun heavy pawnshops) to stop at along I-75 in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia. Once I get to Atlanta I will be heading south on Hwy 19 towards Albany. I'm very familiar where to go in Ohio but if you know of a place that has a lot of used, older, or otherwise interesting firearms along the route please let me know. Prefer places with a lot of long guns (other than black rifles) that have 'local character'. Thanks in advance.

Go check out Chuck's Firearms, 3099 Peachtree Rd Ne, Atlanta, GA - Also might want to visit "The FishHawk" right next door, especially if you are into fishing. Lord, give me patience 'cuz if you give me strength I'll need bail money!! 'TrapperP'

It would mean a slight detour off I-75, but if you have the time, go see Tom Johnston at Top Guns: www.topgunsatlanta.com . Be aware he has limited hours & is only open Mon-Wed. Lots of high-end rifles. And while it's not a gunshop, you would really enjoy making a quick stop at McMicken Taxidermy in Cartersville, on GA 120 just a couple of miles west of I-75. If Darrell is there, he'll show you his personal trophy room--well worth the time. I did make it to Barrow Automotive in Butler (GA) and was quite impressed with the selection of better end rifles/shotguns.
