Several of my guns were stolen from my home about 5~6 years ago now.

But these are what I've got currently (plus a vault and an alarm system these days):

.44 Mag Ruger SRH revolver
.44 special Taurus revolver
.38 Ultra-Lite Taurus revolver
.40 S&W Beretta CX4 Storm
.22 Browning BuckMark pistol
.22 Remington Nylon 66
.223 Handi-Rifle
.300 WinMag -- custom handmade
.416 Rigby Ruger #1
20 gauge Fox double-barrel
12 gauge Mossberg 835
12 gauge Remington 870

=============================================

I honestly don't know why they didn't steal that fox or my handmade .300 but they didn't.

Here's a list of what was stolen:

.380 Walther PK
.40 S&W Sigma Series
.44 mag Taurus
.357 S&W
1911 Colt Competition Series
1911 Springfield
12 gauge Mossberg 590 Tactical
.44 Mag Marlin 1894 lever action

==============================================

And finally, my current wishlist for my collection, and I'll call myself done:

Another 1911 -- Springfield most likely
Marlin XLR lever action -- 444 or 450 Marlin
Sig G550 -- just because
.243 bolt gun of some type - Ruger MKII likely.
12 gauge/30-06 combination rifle.

Guns? Own guns? Like I told my wife, I don't own any damn guns. The ones I shoot I borrow........ jumping and today I shot a "borrowed" Cimarron Thunderer in 45 Colt, a customized Colt Commander and one of my favorite borrowed pistols, a CZ75. sofa

Here we go, (and I have quite a few that I do not shoot...)

1) Remington LH BDL in .270; my "go to gun"
2) Ditto in 7RM but w/laminate stock
3) NEF Handi-Rifle in .22 K-Hornet (also have .30-30 barrel for it)
4) Pedersoli in .40-65, with Green Mtn. barrel
5) 16-ga. Winchester Model 12
6) White Model 97 Ultra Mag .504
7) White Super 91, also .504

Handguns:

4" Model 57 nickel
4" Model 29 nickel
6" Model 57 w/Redfield 4X
IJ-70 Makarov in .380 Auto
4" Model 16 Smith (32 Magnum)
Ruger 4" GP, blue

Youngest daughter has fallen absolutely in love with the 4" Model 29 and Model 57. They both have smooth target S&W stocks, and without looking at the roll markings are absolutely indistinguishable. I have to pay very close attention when I take both of them to the range.

Lol! I just posted on the single shot rifle forum about that particular rifle. It's one combination I would highly recommend against unless one finds pleasure in slight brain trauma and whiplash. Cool

Is it the little rifle thing? I was worried it was a pistol config. By the description it's hard to tell.

I've touched off my share of .416 Rigby, and in a little T/C carbine I'd imagine it would be "challenging" to shoot (especially a follow-up shot), but as a pistol, if I saw someone loading the thing, I'd have to do some serious soul-searching as to whether or not I'd be willing to squeeze the trigger on it.

Although the way revolvers seem to be going these days, in another 10 years S&W will probably make a 6-gun out of it. I wonder if a moon-clip for a .480 Ruger would fit it?

Yup, it's the rifle format. I think if it was a pistol, I wouldn't be able to type anything or write, much less do anything else with my hands!
The light weight is brutal, plus IMHO the stock design is absolutely terrible for anything over a 30-06. I put one of those heavy thumbhole stocks on it and it looks goofy as hell, but it's comfortable at least.
Lol! I can see the advertisement from S&W already, "The world's most powerful 3-shot revolver, 400 grain bullets at 2000 feet per second with recoil comparable with the .44 magnum!" I remember one salesman told me about the .500 feeling like a 44 and after I shot one, it took all my effort not to give him a swift backhand.

Sorry if I was unclear or used the wrong words in my description above. I'm not trying to slight the T/C Encore in the least, I was merely refering to it in comparison to the chambering in question. Certainly you can slap a longer barrel on the TC and add a stock to it, even a reasonably "heavy" stock, and chamber it for darned near anything you want, as long as you're man enough to stand behind it, but there are practical limitations on that type of design that I was joking about with The Metalsmith up there.

Even on the JDJ website, they say their 458 Win Encore (with a hefty muzzle brake) is for "hardened shooters only", and they do things with Ruger #1s that are, IMO, of questionable sanity. (And I mean that in only the most "shaking my head in amazement" way.)

I understand where you're coming from in regards to what you can add onto an encore, however, I'll stick by my statement above ...

when you start loading .416 Rigby into an Encore, that Encore becomes a "mighty little" delivery platform for that particular round, and anything above it like a .458 Lott or .460 Wby, etc. It's fine and certainly adequate for 30/30, even maybe 338 WinMag, but for a .416+, it's awfully light, and has the wrong shape to help with recoil, so it's gonna buck - and hard.

I won't list in this political climate anything I own. Too much of a possibility that ATF reads these pages and is taking down usernames and what you have for later backtracking through the registration data, and soon they will be at your door wanting to see your guns. They will determine that they have to take your guns into custody for "study," and you will never see them again...

7mmo8 Kimber Montana - my go-to hunting rifle
280 Ackley Imp Sako L61R with 2-10X Swarovski - shoots like a dream but 9 lbs

My toys! which I shoot as well

6.5X54 Mannlicher-Schoenauer 1903 action pre 1924 original sporter with trap door butplate & 5 piece cleaning rod

9.3X62 Mauser 98 by Simson Pre 1912 with full length rib - restored with new stock

9.5X57 Mannlicher Schoenauer take-down Pre 1924 - needs a new stock - metal is very tidy.

What I want to get

Win Mod 70 control feed 375 H&H
Single Square bridge Mauser in 404 Jeffery or 416 Rigby
Oberndorf M98 in 10.75X68 (My dad had a FN in this caliber & I wish I could buy that back)

And finally this one

William Evans boxlock double rifle in 450NE made around 1926 in pristine condition and if only I had the US$23k to buy it!

My Massive collection:

CZ 550 American .30-06 (fer huntin')

Remington 870 12 gauge (fer keepin' folks out of my house)

Stoeger Coach Gun 12 Gauge (fer no good reason at all)

Ruger 10/22 .22 lr (cuz not havin' a cheapo plinker .22 is like not havin' a flashlight or box of matches or something)

Henry lever action .22 (for lever action plinkage)

That's my whole list. I hunt with a .30-06. Hunt Turkey with a borrowed mossberg but my next gun purchase is probably going to be a remington 11-87 turkey gun.

not too impressive a collection but a well used collection.
