I have a JP Claburough & sons double barrel shotgun with hammers. It's about 70% condition. serial #9120 all match. could anyone tell me the year made and approx. value. I'm going to try to sell it for a friend. Thank You

A couple of things will determine it's age.
(Apart from looking at records which I don't know if they are available).

REBOUNDING HAMMERS ?

What type of fore end release ?

Amount of engraving ?

BP or Nitro proof ?

Proof marks will give you a range of dates it can fall into, ie 1898 - 1904, 1905 - 1925 etc


Suggest look at a few web sites and find similar no name guns and see what they are being sold for.

If you post a picture of the proof marks, quite a few people can answer the question straight away.

Even if you describe them, we could probably do it.
