I have been told Winchester did not have a pre 64 "short action" that all the actions 30-06 or 358 were the same length. Is this true? If so would a pre-'64 M-70 Fwt action from a 30-06 fit my 358 barreled action? I am new to the Pre '64 world...Thanks for any input....Tim

You are correct, the standard 30-06 action size fits all except the long magnum action size of 375H&H.i have listed the featherweight stock on gunbroker so anyone can see it.I know how to put pics on there site. Thanks and good luck.Anyone interested can make offer, its a really nice stock that could be made into brand new if wanted.
