At the risk of tipping off competitive bidders here, I see a gun for sale that I very very much want. It is a Remington Model 30s, the commercial version of course of my favorite 1917 Enfield, chambered in .257 Roberts, one of the two guns left that I "need" to complete my battery. (I have wanted to build one but so expensive to build one up). It is supposed to be original chambering. It is said to be in good condition and looks so from the pictures. So my question is, is it worth 630 bucks? Has Lyman peep sights on it and original sling swivels. I really want it but don't want to take a bath on it. still 400 cheaper than building one. Red

Red, You will also need a Model 720 Remington in .257 Roberts. Finding that one will make the Model 30 look easy! jim dodd
