Hey guys I could use some information on a pistol. It is a German P-38 that has all matching serial #-s on it. The # is 2xxx and was wondering when it was made , at what plant and what it might be worth. I also have a German boot dagger also from WWII. Thanks Don If it cant be Grown it has to be Mined! Don If your pistol is a wartime manufacture it will have a letter code and a date on it ,the date may be 2 digits such as "42" ,there were 3 manufacturing plants if I recall and probably a heap of subcontractors .It will be either "ac" which is Carl Walther, Zella-Mehlis, Thuringia,or, "cyq" which is Metallwarenfabrik Spreewerk, Berlin-Spandau and "byf" which is Mauser-Werke KG, Oberndorf on the Neckar Hope this helps Pete http://www.gunsworld.com/g_cod_c-e_us.html It's mercy, compassion and forgiveness I lack; not rationality. | |||
