Curiosity here as this is not for sale. This rifle has been passed down in my family since before the war of northern aggression. It is percussion but might have been converted from flintlock as my anscestor fought with Ethan Allen in the Rev. War.It is a 45 cal. HEAVY oct. bbl ,DST. I still have the horn + moulds. It looks to me like as Pennsylvania rifle + as my forebear was in Ohio that seems a fair bet.Since photography has been invented we have pics of the last generation passing on this rifle to the next.Maybe no great news for historians but great news for the family.Be glad to post some pics if anyone can help with the history. Never mistake motion for action. | ||
