This is just one way not the only way by far. I went with a 10' x 10' and wish now that I'd gone 20'x20' instead. I raised the floor up because of stream flooding and poured the floor about 6" thick. The blocks are normal 8" but poured solid with concrete and laced wth rebar both vertical and horizontal. The roof joist are made from 4" c channel to support the roof which ended up a lttle over 4" thick. Power and phonelnies run in through conduit. I was fortunate in finding a Mosler 6hr. fire door and it also has a timelock.
