I have entrusted with a 16 gauge Model 11, full choke, that was recently enherited by a friend. The wood is flawless except for one small "ding" on the bottom of the forarm, blueing is very good showing no wear. There are a few spots with very light surface rust from it's long term storage in a leather Leg O Mutton case. By the serial number is was made in 1940. Any idea of the value would be greatly appreciated.

the value of theis gun would be the fact that it is a 16 and the condition. Model 11's did not retain the value of its a5 brother, you could check the various gun auction sites such as www.gunbroker.com www.gunsamerica.com or www.auctionarms.com to see what they are selling for, my uncle and his father was big on the 11's, he must have 3 or 4 of them, I bought my first 11 from him but since sold it to my nephew.
