Today I came across a Maynard Carbine, second model in very good condition. Date of manufacture is 1865, last year of production,I believe. The serial number is 22974 but my old Flayderman's book says only 2o,202 were built. Really close examination shows no sign of tampering. Even the inspectors initials on the stock are sharp and clear. Owner wants to sell. Any ideas of value?
