I am doing this for a friend. He has a Winchester 1876 in 45-75 cal. Serial number is 8xx, and its been in his family since 1876. Colored case harden frame, deluxe checkered wood, gold splashing on metal. 26" Oct. bbl. Brown pitina color, used but not abused. All edges are sharp, barrel has some pitting still shootable. I would rate the gun overall 60%. Our local gunsmith (Jack Huntington) did not know what to rate it. Jack says its a nice old gun. What do you think it is worth (ballpark)? Thanks for your time!! I would contact Ron Peterson, Ron Peterson's Firearms, in Alburquerque, NM. He is a very honest dealer and has extensive knowledge about old Winchesters. I am sure if you sent him some pics and other information he would be of help to you. | |||
