I have an opportunity to purchase a Sako L61R Finnbear 30-06, Serial #78XXX.

It is a Garcia Import, has original Sako butt pad & scope rings. Metal is 95%, stock is good condition. Shot only a few times.

What is a reasonable offer ? On auction sites have from $450-1200.

$500-$700, because it's chambered for a very common round - most likely you will pay closer to the upper end. There are many out there asking for more, but you need not pay that much if you shop a little.

I'd much rather buy a used Sako for < than $1,000 over a new Rem, Ruger, etc. in the same price range. Lou
