If I am positng multiple pictures I crop all of the pictures in Microsoft Office Picture Manager. I select "Picture" on the menu, "Crop" in the dropdown and resize all pictures to 5" by 7". It makes the picture size consistent in the post. It especially helps if you are using pictures from different cameras.

I also compress all pictures to a document size. I select "Picture" on the menu, "Compress Pictures" in the dropdown and compress to "document size". You may lose a little quality but the pictures still look good and they are easy to upload. The picture below was compressed from nearly 3MB to 500KB.

I have a Macintosh, and there are no left or right clicks on my mouse. Is there a way I can import photos that I have sized and reduced pixel size myself without going through photobuck or some similar "outside" service?
