Staley KeckRed River Hog..
Well, not the African variety; but still a lot of fun to hunt nonetheless. This pig was taken in North Texas along the Red River with a 63# PSE using a 2 blade rage while stalking. The 110# sow is headed for a date with the smoker!
Thanks

calgarychef1Is a red river hog the same creature as an African Bush pig?

eyedocThe Red River hog is found in CAR , Cameroon, and some other countries in that region. Bush pigs are more likely encountered in areas further south.Their color is different and I believe they are different species, but likely closely related.
