I was at the archery lanes last night and there was a dude with a brand new longbow- a martin savanna if I'm not mistaken. They have pretty severe reflex-deflex so they are a lot like a recurve. Well he had come in to have his compound worked on and he fell in love with the damned thing and bought it. He was having a ball!!! He said all the things we say about traditional bows. Anyway he had the absolute worst form I've ever seen. He would draw and release somewhere in the area of his chest. I had a little chat about anchor points being important with any kind of bow, and I got him to relax a little while he shot. He got the hang of things pretty quick!! I also got invited to a longbow shoot this evening....even though I dont' have one. Feller is going to lend me his, along with a handful of arrows.
