I am considering the brotherhood for my first crossbow. Any opinions or recommendations?

At least someone responded. I have a bad shoulder so I figured a crossbow is a way to hunt in October. It also opens up doe hunting for a month vs 4 days with a rifle.

My son took a dandy buck and a couple turkey with his.

For turkey, it is the way to go. You get 15 or 20 turkey in front of you, even if you are in a ground blind, they will bust you almost every time when coming to full draw. With a crossbow set up on shooting stix, my son is good to 50 yds. I limit myself to 30 yds on deer and 35 yds on hogs with my FX. Typical range for me is 23 paces.

Good luck with the cross bow. Be sure and practice and use a rangefinder to know your distances.

Look at Kodabow crossbows. Recurve limbs, very quiet, very fast. Go to their website and look over their videos.
