Have any of you that shoot Long Bows/Recurves ever used arrow shafts made of split tonkin? I recall some several decades ago that were made just like fly rod sections. Just an inquiry .....

Those shafts from Alaska Frontier Archery are really awesome. I have some of the "Battleshafts" in 90-95# spine and the finished arrows came out over a 1000 grains, small diameter too. The only problem is, you can never get the dang things. They have no control over what poundage they come out at and the guy that owns the company, just isn't good at business. I gave up on them, years ago.
