Use hoyt bows as a guide. Their new $700.00+ bows come with Sims limb savers and string leeches. Good starting point and then see how quiet your bow shoots.

I also use their stabilizer 2000 and a stabilizer enhancer but there are many brands for the stabilizer. I recently added the cable dampners but I really do not see any difference with this addition.

Good luck,

SRW, here is a test you can do to see if you bow will scare deer. Shoot at a squirrel on the ground. If he stays there until the arrow hits you are OK to hunt. Bows can be extremely loud and not make a deer jump. The sound that makes them go off like an unwinding spring is a high frequency noise. Most of the time you will not hear a thing and your bow can sound very quiet. This sound will be beyond the human hearing range. Guns going off do not scare them, crossbows, limbs falling and many other sounds don't bother them. A man walking like a deer doesn't bother them, but if you trudge like a man, they are gone.
Just because you think your bow is noisy doesn't mean it is bad to hunt with. I have found some of the stuff you hang on a bow will creat a high freq noise. I had a PSE bow that drove deer nuts and every one jumped the string. I sold it, but kept the PSE quiver because I liked it. I hung the quiver on my new browning and had the same trouble. Changing the quiver solved the problem and the PSE or Browning bows were not at fault. I also had a sight give me problems and a change cured it. Some stabilizers are bad too.
If you suspect something, take it off and shoot at a squirrel.

My PSE came with Sims NV Dampeners. I also installed their stabilizer. It was pretty quiet but I was still getting some sound. I put on the string leeches and those little pads that you can put on your sight and quiver. Now it is almost silent (at least for a compound). Keep thinking about buying the limbsavers but don't think at this point that they will make a difference.
