Sadly and truthfully, my handgunning addiction has trumped my archery obsession in the past couple of years...but it doesn't keep me from slinging an arrow or two before the wheelguns get their turn! Mathews Switchback, 90 gr Muzzy, Easton Axis

nice piggie, i am still wanting to kill my first piggie one of these days. looks like you do just fine "passing the time". what do you hunt with? took me years but i finally got a doe in range with the .44, my first and only wheelgun deer. it was quite a rush, but still not quite what i get with a bow.

Coop, More like what don't I hunt with... I have revolvers from .357 to .500, scoped and unscoped, single shots in T/C Encores and Contenders, and Remington XP-100's in a couple of calibers too. Started out with my Ruger Redhawk in .44 Mag, and still have it in rotation today. Carried my unscoped 7.5" Freedom Arms .454 Casull this evening as the primary. (Had the .500WE on the hip as secondary)

haha damn, sounds like a fun gun room. the .44 i used was my pops super blackhawk, i have yet to purchase a large frame revolver for myself. i keep buying rifles and bows instead. i'm trying to narrow down my choices to a redhawk .44 or a .454 casull redhawk or raging bull. any recommendations?

Coop, The Redhawk in 44 Mag is a great pistol and would serve you well for most anything...having said that, I have 2 .454's as well (7.5" unscoped Freedom Arms M83 and 10" scoped M83). If you haven't shot much in the way of big bore handguns, try to shoot the Casull before you buy. Depending on how it's loaded, it can be a bear... If you were going Double Action revolver, I'd choose the Ruger over the Taurus.
