The subject says it all...do you use a bow sling or a bow pack? Why?

I'm in the market for gear for this fall and need your help as funds are limited.

I have a Primos bow sling for just out and about and I have two packs that are set up for bows.......

I think it is going to depend on how deep in you are going. With the sling, I can do a little day pack or just a quick check out the area hunt....

Carry my climber on my back. Carry my bow in my hand.

I keep my release on at all times and my bow at the ready in the field. Killed a bunch of deer while slippin in.

Well I pulled the trigger on an Eberlestock X1 (gun and bow capable) for long day hunts. I also bought a Primos Bow Sling.

I considered the GamePlan Gear Spot 'N' Stalk Quiver Pack. Fairly small for those short day hunts but big enough to carry essentials.

I use the sling more and more to protect the string/cables and to free up the hands for glassing or pushing branches and bush out of the way. I can get that sling off VERY fast and quietly and be ready to go. I, too, always have my release on, but sometimes tucked up my sleeve out of the way.
