Very cool!

I have a signed spear point about the size of my hand, that a guy in Ohio made in 10 minutes while I watched. He said learn using glass at first, but I could not even handle that.

My hat is off to you!

Any recommendations on who to go with for Cape Buff with a bow? Spot and stalk, fair chase only. No waterholes on fenced farms.

Yep, 2012. The earlier the better.

Don't know anybody in Mozambique.

David, I'm also interested on behalf of one of my regulars but has to be a bow experienced PH for spot and stalk, fair chase buff.

All the best

Nice looking rocks, I think the one on the lower left looks like it wants to kill a deer.

Funny, that head is the one that most resembles the heads I used to find in West Texas as a kid. We always called them "Buffalo Heads" - as far as I know just from a child's evaluation with no particular provenance for the term. I'd guess they were 180-200 grain heads, so our childish name was probably not far off the truth.

We also found "bird heads" that would seem to be in the 50-75 grain category (never having weighed any of them.)

Hi Don and Roger

I would like to suggest Leo van Rooyen for a top bow PH
He is running his own outfit now and hunts a few top concessions in Moz.

He is the kind of PH that loves to get up close and gives the hunter the best experience he possibly can.
I know he has got a few clients onto huge buff and I believe a 98x101 lbs Ele bull with the bow.

Contact him on his details below.

Leo van Rooyen Safaris, Africa
