When I last had a Martin Lynx, I wrapped some "White Thread" around the Bow String until it stacked up about the size of a Clamp on Nock. Put some Wax on it and it did just fine for me. Now it seems like most everyone is using a Peep Sight of some sort. I DO NOT KNOW if the sizes in the Poll are anywhere close to accurate, so bear with me and feel free to correct me.

I have used many peeps through the last 22 years. For hunting, bigger is better but you can be to big...I stop at 1/4" but am using 3/16 G5 (no tube style) now. I used a kisser for years but my anchor point is burned into my brain and I no longer need one. Next poll up.....string loops and release aids....get both!! ________________________________________________ Maker of The Frankenstud Sling Keeper Proudly made in the USA Acepting all forms of payment

Already have both of them! Went to my Gun/Bow Shop yesterday. Too cold to carry in my Trade Bait, so I was basically window shopping. I went there about a week ago to look at a Mission Craze. When I walked in there was one laying on the counter. Tim was taking it Turkey Hunting the next day and had just outfitted it with everything he wanted. He picked it because of the overall short Axle-to-Axle length. So, I get there yesterday and asked how the Turkey Hunt went? Even though he saw Turkeys(in the rain), he said they just didn't get close enough. After gabbing for awhile, we went back and began looking at Bows. He first handed me a Mission Menace. You can check the Specs for the Menace right there. Sure was a smoooooooth draw. He adjusted the Draw length which took maybe a minute without a Bow Press and said try it again. Pulling Fingers on the String, it looks like I'm going to be a 28"-29" Pull. I found it interesting he determined my Pull Length by just watching where the Cam was at Full Draw. No measuring stick needed. Tim said that the Draw Length might shift a bit after I settle into a routine Draw, because of where I end up positioning my Left Arm(which is holding the Bow). I do not remember any of that occurring back in `78 when I got my first Bow, but maybe they did it and I just don't remember it. But, the BIG Surprise was yet to come. Next up he handed me a new out of the Box Mission Craze, after he turned the Draw Weight down about 20#. You can see the Specs on the Craze right there. He said, "Do you plan to use a Release?" Told him I already had one, so he turned around and handed me what I thought was a Release. I got it strapped to my wrist and when I went to Clamp it on the String, my "SURPRISE" was that instead of the two Jaw Clamps, it had a DEEP Hook! I stared at it for a moment and when I glanced at Tim he was smiling. Ah-ha..., it was a FAKE Release that they have for people to use which eliminates the possibility of a Dry Fire. Absolutely BRILLIANT!!! Went ahead and made the Draw and the Mission Craze is just what I need. I'll start out at about 50# and then "Crank It Up" as I settle in. I kept looking at the FAKE Release and Tim said, "You really like that don't you?" "Oh yeah!" I asked if he thought he could get me one so I can Draw in the house(so I don't Klutz into a Dry Fire) and he said it would not be a problem. So, if you think you could use a FAKE Release, contact your local Bow Shop. Or, this might be one of the things everyone already has, and it is just new to me.

Could only vote once, but my primary bow has a 1/4" peep w/o rubber tube, and my backup has a 3/16" peep w/o the tube. When I get a new arrow rest for the backup, I'll have a 1/4" peep put on it as well. An old pilot, not a bold pilot, aka "the pig murdering fool"
