Is There any typical considerations for the broadhead to aleign with the fletching on a crossbow?
I have fletching called fast fletch, Its a shrink tube type. how far srom the or what would be a good location for the fletching. Its real short at about 2" long. The bolts are 16 1/2" need some pro-bow help
Thanks Dave

On a compound bow I don't worry about it at all with a decent helical fletching spinning the arrow broadhead alignment is a non-issue.

On a crossbow your fletching is typically straighter. Straight fletched arrows are much more susceptible to broadhead planing. If the blades and fletching don't align it's diminishes the fletchings ability to compensate for planing. Depends on the crossbow how much helical you can get away with.

So yes, broadhead blade alignment with fletching can be an issue on crossbows bolts if you aren't getting enough spin.

Quickspin vanes might help. There is extra spin built into them that will cause some spin even when fletched straight. Upping your broadhead weight also helps. This increases your FOC and gives your fletching more control over keeping the head straight. The old rule of thumb is getting the broadhead weight close to 1/4 of the total bolt weight without exceeding it. That's the "old" rule of thumb. I would suspect you can get away with more with Carbon Bolts just like you can with Carbon arrows nowadays from a compound bow.

Hopefully that helps some and guys with much more crossbow experience than me will chime in.

I am running easton crossbow bolts. Fletched as they came. Some align some don't. With any of the bolts I cannot aim at the same spot on the target twice. Otherwise I will peel fletching or skewer the bolt already in the target. So I don't think it makes much difference.
