I too was just shopping for a new set-up in Jan. I tried the DXT and the Drenaling along with the BT Gaurdian and the Switchback XT. Honestly, they all shot so good it was really hard to tell a difference in any of them.

I went with the Switchback XT as it's been out a bit and has a stellar rep.

There are alot of good accs, I tried a drop zone and didn't like it at all. Bought a new Whisker Bicuit drop tine and loved it. I have the DT rest, a Toxonics 3 pin sight, Cobra caliper release, strinp loop, large peep w/ tube, and the Bowing Lynx 4 quiver. I'm shooting the gold Tip XT 5575 arrows with NAP Shockwave 100 heads. This rig shoots like a dream!

Good Luck

Ive got a DXT. It was a toss up between it and the Drenalin. Shoots great.

I have a QAD ultra pro dropaway and an impact 1 pin sight.

i have an outback, so i'm a little outdated... but i just put on a winners choice string and cables, a g5 metapeep and love that combo. i shoot with a string loop, have a 5 pin copper johns sight, though i wish it were 7 pins for distance practicing. i shoot the trophy taker fall away rest. my stabilizer is the sims modules, i use 2 in front, and i have a sts string stabilizer. the rest makes a little more noise than i like, but if i'm on my game i can get about a 4" 5 shot group at 60 yards with my gold tips and blazer vanes.

there are so many good accessories out there now its probably tough to go wrong with something you like. i prefer a level on my sight, that helps at longer distances. i have a light for my pins as well, but i have yet to use it, so i usually take it off, as it vibrates loose and rattles. if you are shooting pins i recommend getting at least 5. if you can practice out to 60 yards or so, you'll have much more confidence taking that 20 yard shot at game.

I was also in the market for another bow this year, and tried out the new DXT. It is certainly well designed and kind of unique in its short A-A configuration. However, I've learned that I really need to shoot a few different state-of-the-art bows to see what fits me best.

The DXT is light, manuverable, and surprisingly fast for its lack of size. Also, tried the Bowtech 101st Airborne and liked it too. Still didn't feel that either gave me enough advantage over my Switchback or Patriot and felt like I could do better. Just for the heck of it I went and tried out an Elite GTO. It outperforms both the Mathews and Bowtech, is 33 A-A, and is built with better quality components than either. Better yet, it cost me less (I'm certain that in a year or two that won't be the case) So, I bought the Elite and am very pleased. Will shortly be selling my Switchback.

For sights - I've had very good luck with Copper John, and would recommend their DeadNuts 2 Supreme (very well made - and love the micro adjustable pins). Also have the Sword Twilight Hunter and like it as well - Both are robust and mechanically precise sights.

Rest - Love my Trophy Ridge Drop Zone - easy to tune and never makes contact with the arrow. Although, my buddies have had good luck with Trophy Taker. I like the design and might try that as well.

I like products that use the highest quality materials. Found that if I buy quality the first time, it is much more cost effective and satisfying in the long run. Also, I sometimes hunt pretty hard and crawling that last 50 yards to close the distance can sometimes be pretty rough on equipment.

Tried them all...Can't beat the original '05 Switchback, although the SB XT comes close. The thin limbs don't cut it for me. Like the name says...try them all, but you'll SWITCHBACK!!!!!
