I ran across these pictures today, and thought I would post them. The photos are still frames taken from a video I made when my brother took a black bear last spring. In the third photo, if it shows up well enough, you can see the bear turning to bite at the arrow as it struck.

This was my brother's first bow kill. The hide squared right at 7', and the skull measured a little over 21". This year's menu for him includes another black bear, a Sitka Blacktail or two, and a with a little bit of luck...hopefully a brown bear.
