I was talking to a group of Archery hunters at LL Beans the other night and we were talking about how many animals we had lost while hunting.

I have taken 35 big game animals and lost 2, all with a rifle. Both were in Namibia, one was a gemsbok the other was a red hartebeast. I shot both of them in the neck, but too high.

A few days ago I was watching Babe Winkelman on tv and he wounded a buck and acted like it was no big deal. Someone found the buck weeks later and gave it to him.

So please help me to understand how many you have lost while hunting?
