I would think a standard fiberglass bowfishing arrow with line and reel would be perfect for beaver or nutria.
If you can get it to go through a big ole 6' gar it will definitely go through a beaver.
they aren't anything more than a big water rat...

I may put a broadhead on one of my fiberglass fishing arrows and give it a try. I'll report back.
