Hunt the mast early and late in the day and around midday still hunt the corn into the wind in a square pattern cross wind. What I mean is start at the down wind side of the corn field. using binocs to see as far as you can lean into the next row and glass both directions very carefully. if nothing is spotted, step into that row and repeat untill you get to the opposite edge. Move up(into the wind) about 20 - 30 yards and repeat. A slight breeze and/or damp conditions helps with an sound you make stepping inot each row. Go slow and remember not all the deer will be bedded down so be ready. If you can have an arrow on the string for quick shots it helps. I use a recurve still hunting the corn only as I have missed a couple shots when deer cross the lane I am in and I cannot get a compound drawn in time Good Luck and let us know how everything works out this season! | ||
