I planned to get on my stand about 2:45 well I was there but climbing up I droped my gloves so I climbed back down then when I got back up I realized I left my release in the trk. So back down the tree ran back to the trk Ran back to the stand climbed up just got done putting my gloves and release on when I look up and here comes this buck on the trot. They are in full rut now I sure he was trailing a doe. I do not think I was up 3 minutes He stopped broad side at 18 yards. That was all it took. Last year I started using grim reaper broad heads man to they cut a hole. The damage they do is unbeliveable.

Good job, p dog! Two years ago I shot one literally 5 minutes after moving my stand and sawing/chopping the sight lines. When the rut is on they get dumb - kinda like me, I guess. ![]() Don_G ...from Texas, by way of Mason, Ohio and Aurora, Colorado!

Way to go, P Dog! You had a bad case of the dropsies, and you topped it off by dropping that buck. Good shooting! Penny aim small, hit small

Pdog-sounds like your hunting buddy was Murphy (as in Murphy's law) up until you took him back to the truck! An old pilot, not a bold pilot, aka "the pig murdering fool"
