Fellow Michigan hunters, The Sunday hunting ban has been abolished state wide. It's about darn time. Now I can actually hunt my best spot on Sunday. Good shooting, Fordfreak

Nice! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the ass-backward state of Pennsylvania will do the same in the near future.

Aquavet, Im not sure I understand you, atleast your state has QDM management plans in place now. I hear that you guys are taking some nicer deer in PA. MI DNR has yet to pull their heads out of their butts and implement that here. It is coming slowly but surely. I do understand about the Sunday hunting thing. Id hate to miss out on one more day to hunt. For some Sunday is the only day they can hunt.

Let me 'splain: Not being able to hunt on Sunday and banjo music were foreign to me... until I moved East to the Land Of Big Hair and dogged backwardness. The Blue Laws are antiquated. A ban on Sunday hunting isn't filling church pews... so let me shoot deer for christ's sake. In PA, "Nicer deer" still means 120 - 130ish. That's a BIG improvement, but bagging a monster whitetail in PA remains as one of the tougher hunting endeavors in the world... and with nearly 1 million hunters, it's likely to stay that way despite QDM.

chuckduster, Some parts of the upper penninsula have implemented QDM. The area I hunt in southern Marquette county has a 4 point on one side restriction. The area has been under QDM for the last few years and it has helped alot with growing nicer bucks. Fordfreak
