I'm a fan of the 125 gn. I like a little more weight forward.

Well, my choice of broadhead doesn't seem very popular with this crowd, but they have worked great for me. I shoot 100 grain Thunderhead's on the front end of an Easton 3-60 ACC arrow. I've found them to be an extremely accurate broadhead and get excellent penetration too. A few notable animals shot with this setup, a 6 pt. bull elk at 41 yards and a shiras moose at 42 and then again at 60 yards, were all complete passthroughs. I only shot the moose at 60 yards because I'd already put an arrow clear through him and wanted him down quick, before he could go into a marsh. Both arrows passed clean through the moose. The arrow on the elk was found about 20 yards past where he was standing when shot and that is out of a 67 pound bow shooting an arrow at 256 fps.

Here's another vote for the Slick Tricks. Great arrow flight, scary sharp and durable.

I use both the Muzzy 4 blade 100 grain and the G5 Montec. I've been slowly switching to the Montecs, and took two elk with this broadhead this year.

LP/Bill. with all due respect to your choice of G5 Montecs, there are a lot of bowhunters who've tried them and gone back to other heads. I personally know 5 or 6 guys who tried Montecs and went to other heads afterward. The problem is the metal (I won't call it steel) is too soft and won't hold an edge very long, especially after being put into and taken out of a quiver very much.

I tore my rotator cuff on my bowhand side this past fall and am going to have to start shooting a much lighter bow, probably of only 50-55 pounds. This has caused me to re-think which broadheads I'll use for elk in the future, and I'm leaning toward trying steeforce, phantoms or some other cut on contact stainless stell head that'll penetrate better on the front of an arrow with less energy. I'm also curious to learn more about the German Kinetics broadheads. They are supposed to be an excellent broadhead, though very expensive.

Stated with Satellite 125 grain and worked down to 90 grain. Then went to 3 blade Muzzy 100 grain and just currently switched to the T3 100 grain last year.

Magnus Stingers, Thunderheads, Rage, Montecs and a few others have worked great. I like 125grs myself. If I had to pick one for any critter, as my experience is only with white-tails, I'd probably use the Stingers.
