Lila and I headed for the lease one last time before the season comes to an end, being 33 weeks pregnant she wanted one more shot for a bowkill before the little one arrives. About 7:45 deer started moving in and a nice doe got within range of her mathews ignition and a muzzy phantom.


She dumped the string and her deer was down within sixty yards, not bad for 8 months pregnant!
We switched spots to see if anything else might come by and within an hour the view from our blind was filling up again.



I waited a few minutes before the right doe cleared the others and dumped my string, and just an hour after Lila's harvest we had another doe down within 20 yards of her deer; an easy tracking job for sure! What a way to end our whitetail season with my wife in natures beauty!

Congratulations on harvesting some excellent eating! I love it when a wife enjoys the same thing as her husband. It's even better when it's hunting and fishing....
