So rewind to opening weekend of bowseason...

Had a basketrack 8point come in but I didnt want to take him so I sat in the stand and watched him until dark and then saw something furry come walking in.....and at 20 yards.....

The Raccoon was my first archery kill since the TBH hunt at Sweetwatercreekbowhunt I went on with Timm Getts (2050z). Very exciting and a perfect shot.

So now fastforward to last weekend. Saturday morning I had an 8 point, a 13 point, and a 16 pointer come in to my feeder but I was shaking too badly to keep them from staring at my tripod and I couldn't get my bow back on the big boys. So once the Coyotes started howling they left my feeder.

Saturday evening I had a doe come in that I have had a few trail camera pictures of. She had a cut on her chest from jumping a barbwire fence im guessing, but the wound was deep enough to show meat and it was bothering her and she licked it inbetween bites of corn.

At 20 yards I drew and made a perfect shot, listened to her go down, and I had my first archery whitetail. she didnt go 25 yards.

My setup is a Mathews Drenalin with Rocky Mountain Snyper 100gr Mechanical Broadheads, and it works great!

Thanks for reading

Justin

Congratulations! First one is always fun.

Why did you not want the first one to be that basket racked 8 point? (Might have been a while until you hit another one that good Wink )

Come on Chef, don't be so modest. Big Grin Show em a picture of yours. And none of that high tech there stuff, either.

Grizz you old sh&& disturber I already posted a pic under seasons adventures. Choice of hunting tool is up to the shooter....some need training wheels and some don't. But then you should see a Grizzly bear on a bike- I have and it's a wonderful sight Eeker
