I had a treat today, I got to shoot one of Kassai's horse bows. He builds them one at a time in Hungary. What fun, but they have no arrow rest so you shoot them off the top of your hand; the area above the webbing.
I think I need one of these. A company called Samick in Korea makes a neat basic one for $170 retail. They weigh about a pound.

A buddy of mine has one, 90#'s, he just draws it to keep in shape for his 85# buffalo bow. I used to have a lemonwood flat bow, that I shot with the arrow resting on my hand. Make sure the front of the feather is glued down good!
