May 2009 Bow Hunt
I had the oppertunaty to go do a bit of bow hunting last week.

S'Dudla safaris really produced the goods.... as usual.

S'Dudla Safaris

Photo of the elevated hide....

Lots of space.

The Razor Tricks really produced the goods on this Bluewildebeest

He went down 80 yards from where he was shot.

Some of the other visitors to the hides or tree stands....

Grey Duiker

Following morning another Grey Duiker

Waterbuck

some of the birds....

Steenbuck ewe

Evenings were spend around a fire relaxing.....

and then I got the shot at the primary target species for this trip.

Impala ram

I have all ready started counting down the days to my next trip.

I have seen some monster Kudu Bulls and this time they will be the target species.....

Congrats on a couple of beautiful trophies!
Well done!
I'm a rifle hunter, but would really try the bowhunting sometime.. Smiler
Have thought of buying proper equipment, and practising before my next safari. Then maybe doing rifle and bow 50-50.

Congrats on some fine animals Gerhard. That Wildebeest is a toad! Thanks for posting those bird pics, I always enjoy seeing the winged fowl.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
