Anyone try these?

Razorcaps

They are photon (lazer) welded and look pretty darn promising. Weights from 100gr to 200gr available by changing ferrels.

There's a show called myth busters. Renently they were shooting crossbows at ballistics gel. They tried 3 blade fixed and 2 blade fixed heads. The two blade tips had better penetration. I think 6 inches vs 8 inches if I remember correctly. It would have been interesting to see what it would have done with hunting weight arrows.

Those things look fine, but The Chef is right...2 blade cut on contact all the way!!

I switched from all the "super stuff" to just palin old Bear 2 blade cut on contact about 8 years ago and get complete pass thru everytime and dead deer as well.

I gut shot (my son says I shot her in the ass) a doe this year that jumped the string and the arrow went thru the left ham, edge of the hip bone, intestines and clipped the right lung before going thru the ribs on the far side. She went 50 yds and fell over. I don't think you can do that with a 3 or 4 blade.

The year of the .30-06!!

I hunt with a 55# recurve and have used 2-blade Zwickey Eskimos since the 70s. They have always worked great.
Two years ago I tried some of the new G5 Montec fixed 3-blade heads. They're cast (monolithic) stainless. They seem to work great on whitetails and hogs but I have heard of a few folks having problems with them bending on some tough shoulder blades and heavier skinned animals.
One thing about fixed 3-blade heads is they do "bleed" the animal better. If you get pass through with a 3-blade the animal is going to bleed out a lot faster than it would have with a 2-blade.
The 3-blade that is supposed to have the most effective penetration is the Wensel Woodsman. They are a long head with a low angle so they slide through a little easier.
