a friend of mine once shot at a vervet monkey with a blunt for the purpose of " teaching it a lesson ". the monkey was killed. In mt opinion use a low poundage bow and aim for a non vital area.. Good luck with that boon ! The Archer seeks the mark upon the path of the infinite, The Prophet Kahlil Gibram

If it was fatal then it was an appropriate lesson for the vervet monkey. I don't like monkeys. Personally, I'm not a big fan of blunts for non-lethal shots. If you're gonna shoot it, then kill it.

i shot my monkey at 32 yds almost between the eyes with a judo tip. 60lb switchback and 515 gr. arrow. penetrated to back of skull. i think a judo would piss them off and maybe make matters worse. i am sure they are a whole lot tougher than monkeys. Well if you want to teach a baboon a lesson shooting it with a blunt is definatly the way to teach the FUR . I once shot a monkey in the chest with a blunt using my Mathews Drenalin. I broke its back and it died. But as F.C.Selous Stu says use a light poundage.
