Just to share my return to the hunting zone ... after two years of abstinence due to various labour compromises, finaIly I somehow managed to dissapear a few days to live life as it should be…

After some scouting, promising footprints decided the place where to wait for my “buddies” that night… after checking wind direction, I placed myself under a calden at 4 pm some 85 metres (around 280 feet) away… though the moon was almost at its full size, a heavy cloudy night (announcing a rather strong storm to come) made me feel confident in that "vigil" ... and so it was:

Could not be happier.... my first night after almost two years of absence, and this was how Artemis and the bush welcomed me

Second night

Decided to take full advantage on such a warm welcome I stayed all night near another path used by our friends... sadly this time all I had was some piglets - and a heavy frost





Extreme weather just to make me remember the blizzards and extreme cold we must endure in order to pay our tribute for a good and fair hunt... my face is quite eloquent !!

Third night

Another place,this time in a ravine ... the hog appeared before the moon, luckily I was able to see it silhouetted against the horizon ... a rather complicated shot some 120 metres uphill (I was hidden in the opposite hillside of the ravine)

Both hogs had one of their tusks broken... battle wounds and probably lack of minerals due to rather poor feeding our wild friends had...

I believe the insignia is from KSK german kommandos .Mny of their units were deploed in Afganistan .

Concerning the badge, it is of the Fallschirmjäger, german paratroopers... given to me by a real german paratrooper as a gift after a couple of jumps we did together

Pretty much alike the KSK badge, but this latter one has the very same eagle over an arrow ...

Hi Julio, how are you?? We met a year or so in San Francisco, outside Juan´s hospital didn´t we?

Sadly Kuyen is now in Catamarca... a very fine dogo that didn´t deserved living in a flat (jail) in Buenos Aires.... not with me any more but in a much more suitable place for her and her neediness.... hard decisions that had to be made !

Indeed Kuyen is a very fine dogo... that pic is quite old, when she was six months old... now she duplicated both that size and weigh !
