What is the design of the 40X rimfire bolts? Are they designed like the factory bolts with a non- rotating head and the lugs positioned in the middle of the bolt?

I would think that in order to fit and operate in a 40x receiver they would have to be designed like the factory bolt, wouldn’t they? 40x .22 bolts use dual opposing 3 and 9 o’clock extractors so the bolt head has to be non rotating. Also, the locking lug recesses in the receiver dictate where the bolt locking lugs must be on the bolt body. On a 40x .22 those recesses are right at the front of the rear bridge.

I have bought three model 700 bolts from Mr. Kiff and the workmanship is outstanding to say the least. His oversize bolts make fitting them to a receiver that has had the bolt ways reamed and trued much easier and sturdier than having to install bushings on the bolt body. Great products.
