Just one of those nifty little Savage 93s in 17HMR and a lefty stock set in a nutmeg thumbhole flavor for a Thompson/Center Encore. E. A. Brown Co. had about a hundred sets of them as a trial sales effort last October. I was lucky enough to get one. I do not know if they are still to be had, but they are sure nice...

I currently own

Remington 40X 308 Palma Rifle
Remington 700 in 30-338 in a Sleeved Action by Mitchel Maxberry
Weatherby Mark V in 30-06 Got it from the Bank of Boulder when I was 17 years old
Winchester Model 70 Classic in .338 Win.
M1 Benelli 12 Gauge

I also have two Ruger No. 1s and 2 Browning BPS.

I am thinking about building a 458 Lott. Is the Montana barrelled action a good value and if so who makes a good synthetic stock that can take the recoil.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Roscoe but I hardly consider myself the expert on MRC's, lol.

But I do own a couple, one is a finished left hand Lott with the MRC #5 barrel 24 inches long. I just finished having NECG masterpiece sights installed on it and it is ready to go to the range. It holds three down. I ordered a McMillan stock for it and it was a good drop in fit. So good I may not have to glass bed it. It seems to feed and eject very well. I did notice the edges of the magazine box were very sharp and occassionly the magazine follower would snag at the bottom. This should be an easy fix for anyone owning a dremel. I just been to lazy to get to it.

The other one I own is the standard '06 sized action which will wear a Lilja barrel in 35 Whelen. I think the MRC is a great action for us lefties. They will make any barreled action you want in left handed.
But I would not use them on any project where you are desiring a light weight rifle.

But back on track, McMillan will build you a stock to handle the 458 Lott. I order mine from Rick Bin over on the 24 hour campground forum. Great stocks but they take 5-6 months.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Your three lefty rifles efficiently cover the entire range of four legged game from the smallest to the largest on earth. Add in a 22lr of some sort and a 12ga and every game aninimal on earth can be effectively hunted, incluuuding the ubiquitous tin can.

SJM - I am not familiar with the Selous actions but I know Vektor once manufactured a true copy of the M98 magnum action. I don't know whether it was ever offered in left hand, but I don't think so.

Wow you open up a trading post for lefties!

My small collection:

Rem. 700 7mm mag
Rem 700 308 Win
Ruger Stainless 77 300 Win.
Rem 760 30-06
Marlin stainless gg 45-70
Savage Stainless VLP 223
Ruger Hawkeye 375

Didn't see a one in all the very fine collections posted here. Might just have to sell the Hawkeye and buy a MRC.....

Thanks to the AR for opening this forum.

I only own a M70 classic in 30 06 and in December it will be sent to Dennis Olsen for his workmanship to turn it into a 375. Once that is complete it will be fitted into an Echols Legend stock and hopefully it'll be the last rifle I own for a while.

Of course...I held a gorgeous double rifle the other day..
