A short drive from Lubbock, TX we can offer a real chance at a very big aoudad. The sheep are on a big family ranch that has had no hunting program in place in the past and '10 will be the first season with only 2 hunts being available this first year.

One of our guys has spent sometime on the ranch and reports lots of rams and excellent quality with low to mid 30" possible.

The hunts are 4 days at $4750 all inclusive of the hunt, food, logdeing and pick up in Lubbock.

Contact me with questions anytime.

I have been looking for a good aoudad hunt. How big of ranch? Is it guided and if so who guides?

Jeremy,

Piece of the ranch that holds the aoudad is 40,000 acres. One of the owners will guide the hunt.

Bluefin

At this point any Fri-Mon would work with the coolest months being better.

Our guy that was there recently saw a group of 25 rams with a 35 incher trailing the bunch.

As aoudad hunts go this can be fairly easy but it still is a real spot and stalk hunt like most sheep hunting.

Some great rams in that part of the rim country.. I'm from just a bit southwest of that area and we used to hunt a couple of ranches up there every yr for aoudad.

A great hunt!

THX! That country looks exactly like the way it was descibed to me. Defintitely not a walk in the pasture but nowhere near as rough as some other aoudad country.

My grandfather took a 33"ram off the Harrell Ranch just east of the Palo Duro canyon back in the early eighties. That part of Texas can grow some big animals. Nice ram.
